"I'm not the type to steal bases." Why do I run even though I failed to steal…"20-20" I promised

Austin of the LG Twins of professional baseball sat in the manager's seat with his unique affinity for foreign players and volunteered to interview reporters. 고수익알바

At the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, where LG and Kiwoom played each other on Sunday, Austin, who finished training ahead of the interview with reporters at 5 p.m., sat down on a chair that was prepared for the interview. The interview was conducted as if he were the coach himself.

There were some casual questions such as the All-Star Game event and the determination of the home run race. Austin said performance at the All-Star Game is a secret.

"Last year, Sajik Stadium Pence hit only one homer," said Austin, who had one homerun in last year's home run race. "I think I'll hit at least one more homerun this year because it's Incheon."

Coach Yeom, who came out as a dugout, saw Austin and said, "I have nothing to say, but you do an interview for me," and watched from behind.

When asked why LG's performance was worse this season than last year, Austin said, "The off-season was short, so I couldn't rest much, and the team tended to be a little rough because the players had more minor injuries than last year. Recently, our players are getting better again, and they look like they did last year. It's a little bad compared to last year, but I think I'm going back to last year."

The Dong-A Ilbo asked a question about Yeom Kyung-yeop's running baseball team. He asked mischievous questions such as, "What if the coach tells me to keep running when I keep failing after stealing recently?" Austin had seven stolen bases (three failed steals) last year. This year, he had 11 successful steals and five failed steals.

Austin said with a smile, "I'm a player and a coach is a coach, so I'm following the coach's orders because it's his calling," and added, "Even though I'm not the type of player who steals originally, I stole 11 bases in a surprise way when the coach told me to keep playing. Honestly, I'm a player who doesn't steal like that, but I was surprised by the number of stolen bases."

"I'm happy that the coach made me a stealer, and if I succeed in stealing second base, I'm more likely to score," he added.

"My goal is for Austin to play 20 (homer)-20 (stealing). I want to increase Austin's value," Yeom said. "I promised to play 20 (homer)-20 (stealing) with him. I will do it," he said with a smile.

In the game against Kiwoom on Sunday, Austin got on base with a leadoff hit in the fourth inning. He was caught on the pitcher's check ball at the first base and almost got out while running to the second base, but he was hit in the back by shortstop's throw, and was safe at the first base. He added another failure to steal a base. The success rate of stolen bases dropped to 64.7 percent.
